Unlike most of our competition that mails the unit to you a Habitec technician will come out to your home to install, test, and train you on your new medical alert unit.

Who is monitoring the medical emergency alarm signals?

Habitec's company owned and operated central station monitors all emergency medical alarms. We do not work with third party dispatch companies.

Is there a long term agreement required?

There is no long-term commitment or contract. Charges for the medical alert system are month to month.

What happens if I lose power?

When the power fails, the medical alert system automatically switches over to a rechargeable battery which will provide over 24 hours of back-up protection.

Will the medical pendent work in my yard?

In most situations the signal strength will reach your yard. While we are out installing the unit we can test different locations around your home for signal strength.

How often should I test my medical alert system?

We test the communication of your system weekly. We suggest that you should also test the system monthly so that you are comfortable with using it.

How I learn to use the medical alert system?

While we are out installing the system we will instruct you on how to use the system.

Where can I wear my medical pendent.

The medical pendent can be worn around your neck, as a wrist band, or clipped to your pants.
